Tuesday 30th April

Our first social of 2013 saw the most welcomed return of our good friend Paul Bailey. As you know by now, Paul is an absolute favourite at the Bronze Club and we never ever fail to have a full house.  Just wish the room was bigger, we'd even fill it then.

As always it was a fabulous night, dancing, laughter and loads of fun, such a great crowd who are all there for the one main reason to see Paul.

I'd been cake making throughout the day when Bill was on the phone to Paul, who commented he 'rather liked cakes'  Needless to say the plate of cakes in his dressing room didn't last long. I decided to make a load of cakes and so every table had enough cakes on it for everyone, chocolate, vanilla, lemon,  cherry, choc chip, raspberry - gosh I'd been busy and believe it or not, I didn't get ONE !!!

On setting up I gave Paul 'my' playlist, he said he'd cross a couple off he'd be doing - he absolutely annihilated it, but we had a good laugh trying to sort some tunes out for me to play.

All in all the evening went off brilliantly - as in the past we did a cash raffle with envelopes containing £25, £l0, £5, some people even won twice (won't mention any names) - it wasn't me either.

Thanks to Martine for teaching me the HUNK, so I recipricated by showing her Tickle my Heart, both to Pauls new tracks. I did unfortunately make the dreadful mistake of playing 'Closer' as Martine couldn't resist joining in - what a brilliant laugh, if you had earplugs !!!!!!

Thanks to Mike Kealy for standing in and  taking the piccies as Brian my 'normal' photographer wasn't up to parr. Also thanks to Chris, on the door, he does a superb job, selling raffle tickets & sorting out future social tickets.  Thanks also to Bill for making sure everyone parked safely.

Our book and jig saw stall did well, and thankfully, we returned home with less than 1/2 the amount we went with.

Our biggest thanks goes to ALL THE PEOPLE WHO CAME ALONG AND SUPPORTED THE CLUB - THANK YOU SO MUCH ONCE AGAIN.

HOPE TO SEE YOU FOR MAGILL on 2nd July.
